Piezo Technologies is Combining and Moving Plants

New Piezo Technologies FacilityINDIANAPOLIS, IN — On September 6, 2005, Keramos and Etalon divisions of Piezo Technologies both officially relocated to a larger facility on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, where the company can continue to grow. From this single facility, Piezo Technologies will conduct all piezoelectric material and ultrasonic transducer R&D, development, and production. In addition, various contract manufacturing for ultrasonic systems, medical devices, sensors, etc. will also be performed at this new facility. The new plant includes a state-of-the-art array lab, a class 100 clean room, micro-assembly and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protected assembly areas, dicing saws capable of cutting to 12 microns, high-powered microscopes, thermal and other stress testing capabilities, and more. The new plant has the much needed space to add many new employees in the years to come.

Also, for the first time in the 30+ year history of the Keramos and Etalon divisions, they are now able to collaborate and communicate like never before. This collaboration between the company's piezoelectric ceramics / materials engineers, and its ultrasonic transducer / systems engineers has always been a critical aspect of their world-renowned R&D and new product development. Now, by combining these two divisions in a state-of-the-art facility, that collaboration is enhanced tremendously with the ability to work side-by-side when necessary. Keramos was previously located close to the new facility, while Etalon was relocated from Lebanon, IN, approximately 30 miles to the North.

John Jaqua, Piezo Technologies' CEO, stated, "We are excited about this move and what it means to our future. This new facility was custom built to meet our exact needs and specifications, so every aspect of the company will be enhanced. Most importantly, we finally get to bring the brilliant minds and dedicated associates from both Keramos and Etalon together."

Keramos and Etalon will continue, as they have since 1968, to function as separate divisions to ensure customer confidentiality where required and to maintain a strong focus on their respective specialties. However, some administrative efficiencies are being created, which will benefit all of their customers and vendors. Also, this move brings Etalon much closer to the Indianapolis airport, which greatly benefits visiting customers.

Please join us in our excitement to finally bring the brilliant minds and dedicated associates from Keramos and Etalon together.
