Senior Transducer Design Engineer

Under general direction, the Design Engineer develops engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates; prepares written reports, technical and material specifications for manufacturing operations associated with various projects and production support. Works with customers and consultants providing direction and information on specific programs and projects.

Custom designed ultrasonic transducers are typically for the following industries: oil (down-hole many applications), medical (imaging, sensing, low intensity therapy), HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound — medical/industrial), high-power (crystal stacks with horns and boosters, for medical/industrial), industrial sensing — NDT (immersion, contact, air).
